Learn And Master Painting

I will try to keep this short and to the point. I like painting and it's fun to see your own work on paper. The problem is learning how to do it correctly. There are many ways in which you can learn to paint, but some are better than others.

Is The Learn & Master Painting DVD Set Worth Buying?

There are a lot of folks who wish they know how to paint, but simply have no idea where to get started. Let me tell you something. I took a painting class in university and it was a great thing to see your own work come to fruition. Painting is relaxing, entertaining, and full of imagination. It allows you the freedom of putting your thoughts on paper. One word of caution though. Make sure you find the right instruction or you will spend a lot of time erasing bad habits.

The course, is in my opinion, one of the better, if not one of the best courses available from Legacy. They also offer courses on guitar, photography, ballroom dancing, and other subjects of interest. There isn't much hype about this product and that's always a blessing to see. It is just a realistic, well thought out course. It teaches how to paint with both acrylics and oils. Oil painting is a lot of fun and many people choose this route. Acrylics are popular too though, so it is no surprise why the course covers that aspect as well.

You can read more about the program by clicking the link near the bottom of this page. Essentially though, the course consists of 20 DVDs. Keep in mind that these videos are professionally made and are not your average home video. The video lessons are hosted by a woman, Gayle Levee.

From what I have seen, she seems very sincere and is a great painting instructor. What I like the most is that the course comes with 3 music CDs that you can listen too while you paint as well as a lesson book. If that is not enough, they also give you the option to include a painting supply kit at a discounted price (buy it at the store and pay more).

Just those items alone tell me that this course is a winner. I believe they also offer customer support 24 hours, but don't quote me on that one. The videos focus primarily on step-by-step instruction, which in my opinion, is the better way of teaching new students. This course is not suited for people who are experienced in painting. For anyone who is not well trained, it is a must buy. It is amazing how many things you forget or thought you knew, until you hear them taught again.

You will cover every aspect of painting including how to care for your paint kits, setting up your work palettes, and choosing the color themes for your projects. On top of that, you will cover important fundamental painting skills which will allow you to enhance your artistic ability. Over the course of the lessons, you will find yourself becoming more comfortable with picking colors that work well, and your drawings and paintings will look better with each passing day. All of this comes with work though. No one is going to do the painting for you.

You will also acquire the ability to determine distance and depth. These are skills that masters have, and they are skills that you can learn. Being able to create depth within your painting will separate you from a beginner. In time, you will have people wanting you to teach them.

Like I said earlier, the course is best suited for newcomers however if you are considered to be intermediate, then you may find some valuable information in this course too. With that said, if you are better than intermediate, then this course is not for you. What it comes down to is this. The course is perfectly put together, and takes you by the hand all the way up to an expert level.

Even if you don't decide to use this program, I advise you to NOT buy any course that does not include audio and video. Learning from a book is great, but you lose the ability to see and hear. Lesson books accompanied by video are the way to go. Private instruction is also a good option, if you can afford the high costs. With just a few lessons of private teaching, you could have your own DVD set teaching you any time of the day or night. I wish you all the best and I hope this was helpful for you.
